The Library of Traumatic Memory by Neil Jordan

The next book is The Library of Traumatic Memory by Neil Jordan.

This was a difficult one for me as although it's helped by its short chapters it did feel a little complicated at times and it was tricky to keep track of the events unfolding. The language used is lovely but with the lack of punctuation and the lack of clear delineation of characters and the narrative voice with its two narrators with no clear way of saying which narrator is speaking it is hard to follow the threads through though the book. I almost did not finish this but persevered, unfortunately for me personally while the imagery and the language is at times beautifully and poetically written it was too complex for me to follow fully. If you're looking for an easy read then this is not it but if you take the time with it then I'm sure there are those who would love this book.  Thank you to the author, the publishers, and as always to Netgalley for this ARC.

  A story for everyone who has ever felt just that little bit different.  The tale of Little Alien is heartwarming and we follow how they navigate the world around them through the book they are trying to understand, it is t old from the second perspective.  When the Alien discovers the unusual Voynich manuscript she becomes convinced that it will explain the mysteries of the world, and ultimately herself too.  .Personally second point of perspective is a little bit tricky to read at times as its not something I overly choose to read. Book Review The Great When by Alan Moore 'Dennis Knuckleyard is a hapless eighteen-year-old who works and lives in a second-hand bookstore. One day, his boss and landlady, Coffin Ada, sends him to retrieve some rare books, one of which, Dennis discovers, should not exist. A London Walk by Rev. Thomas Hampole is a fictitious book that appears in a real novel by another author. Yet A London Walk is physically there in his hands, nonetheless'.   and so begins this fantasy novel. Really great storyline, Moore creates a richly detailed London that draws you in. It is surreal and sarcastic at times with bleak elements too. At times it is a little challenging to read, but the pacing is good despite a slightly slow start. I was only familiar with Moore's graphic novel but this was really good.
