Must admit I didn't know much about this book before going in to if. It is a satire that plays around, it asks what if tech billionaires had access to cloning the founding fathers and just what would Franklin think of a smartphone. Much of the history of the founding fathers is lost on me as Brit but even though I liked it well enough. It is a fun but brief book, a novella that has an interesting premise but perhaps feels like it needs to be fleshed out more. The idea behind it is sound enough and it humorously looks at politics and updated time settings (with cloning of course). Its an enjoyable read but not quite a 5 star one for me.   A story for everyone who has ever felt just that little bit different.  The tale of Little Alien is heartwarming and we follow how they navigate the world around them through the book they are trying to understand, it is t old from the second perspective.  When the Alien discovers the unusual Voynich manuscript she becomes convinced that it will explain the mysteries of the world, and ultimately herself too.  .Personally second point of perspective is a little bit tricky to read at times as its not something I overly choose to read. It's a very quick read and does flow well and it is broken at times by footnotes.  Thank you NetGalley as always and to little, Brown and Company for sending this book to review.

Book Review The Great When by Alan Moore 'Dennis Knuckleyard is a hapless eighteen-year-old who works and lives in a second-hand bookstore. One day, his boss and landlady, Coffin Ada, sends him to retrieve some rare books, one of which, Dennis discovers, should not exist. A London Walk by Rev. Thomas Hampole is a fictitious book that appears in a real novel by another author. Yet A London Walk is physically there in his hands, nonetheless'.   and so begins this fantasy novel. Really great storyline, Moore creates a richly detailed London that draws you in. It is surreal and sarcastic at times with bleak elements too. At times it is a little challenging to read, but the pacing is good despite a slightly slow start. I was only familiar with Moore's graphic novel but this was really good.
