 Shake Out the Ghosts by Al Hess

The premise of Shake Out the Ghosts was very interesting and I'll keep this review spoiler free. It's a hodgepodge of a few different genres and overall that works very well. There are darker themes in this book so I would advise caution but they are well handled. The two central characters are likeable and the story progresses well but at times it can get a little overwhelming but it is well worth a read. Life Hacks For A Little Alien Alice Franklin

  A story for everyone who has ever felt just that little bit different.  The tale of Little Alien is heartwarming and we follow how they navigate the world around them through the book they are trying to understand, it is t old from the second perspective.  When the Alien discovers the unusual Voynich manuscript she becomes convinced that it will explain the mysteries of the world, and ultimately herself too.  .Personally second point of perspective is a little bit tricky to read at times as its not something I overly choose to read. It's a very quick read and does flow well and it is broken at times by footnotes.  Thank you NetGalley as always and to little, Brown and Company for sending this book to review.

Book Review : Stupid Things I Won't Do When I Get Old

 Hello you, Another book review (this lockdown has really given me time to catch up on some reading) Today's book review is on Stupid Things I Won't Do When I Get Old: A Highly Judgmental, Unapologetically Honest Accounting of All the Things Our Elders Are Doing Wrong. Written by Steven Petrow Huge thanks to Kensington Books/ Citadel and Netgalley for letting me review this title. The main reason I wanted to read this title in all honesty was the title. It is a humorous and poignant book about the joys and trepidations of growing older. It is a touching look at our elders and viewing ourselves through that prism of ageing. It is an easy book to read broken up into small chapters that cover a multitude of things. While it is an American centric book a lot of the topics covered are fairly universal.
