Hello everyone !

Please forgive the sporadic nature that is my blog, sometimes I'm really inspired to write stuff and sometimes I'm not. So meh !

Anyway, it has been a very busy summer here, and I for one would love a holiday, hopefully I'll be able to disappear for a few days at the end of this month. I've really been thinking about a few different thngs I want or want to experience. Lets call these goals, though that's probably not the term I mean but it's the best my brain can do right now.
First, I'd like to get a Nintendo Switch, a friend of mine was talking about it and the more he was describing it to me the more it seemed like something I'd find useful. I like the idea that it is a console and a handheld at the same time. Sounds pretty nifty to me !
Second, I really want to visit Disneyland again, it's been several years since I was last there and I'd love to revisit it.

Also, one more thought, since the last blog I had a birthday. I am now 30...I should feel older and more mature, yet I still feel the same...don't feel any older.

This has turned into a ramble...I was going to write a blog on my Netgalley reading but as you can see that didn't happen.

Life Hacks For A Little Alien Alice Franklin

  A story for everyone who has ever felt just that little bit different.  The tale of Little Alien is heartwarming and we follow how they navigate the world around them through the book they are trying to understand, it is t old from the second perspective.  When the Alien discovers the unusual Voynich manuscript she becomes convinced that it will explain the mysteries of the world, and ultimately herself too.  .Personally second point of perspective is a little bit tricky to read at times as its not something I overly choose to read. It's a very quick read and does flow well and it is broken at times by footnotes.  Thank you NetGalley as always and to little, Brown and Company for sending this book to review.

Book Review The Great When by Alan Moore

Book Review The Great When by Alan Moore 'Dennis Knuckleyard is a hapless eighteen-year-old who works and lives in a second-hand bookstore. One day, his boss and landlady, Coffin Ada, sends him to retrieve some rare books, one of which, Dennis discovers, should not exist. A London Walk by Rev. Thomas Hampole is a fictitious book that appears in a real novel by another author. Yet A London Walk is physically there in his hands, nonetheless'.   and so begins this fantasy novel. Really great storyline, Moore creates a richly detailed London that draws you in. It is surreal and sarcastic at times with bleak elements too. At times it is a little challenging to read, but the pacing is good despite a slightly slow start. I was only familiar with Moore's graphic novel but this was really good.
