Musing the first.
It must be stated first of all that this will be a very sporadic blog, it's just how my mind works.
It will be added to when I have free time or generally when I think of something interesting or more likely non-interesting to say, random musings after all.
I should probably tell anyone who is reading this a little about myself, however if the only people who ever read this are people who already know me then I'm guessing you already know enough about me.
But just incase you dear reader stumble upon this little rambling blog of mine, then hello ! Allow me to introduce myself. I'll try not to bore you with the details.
My name is Rhian, I'm 24 and am currently studying for an MA degree at Aberystwyth University in Literary studies specialising in 18th century romanticism (although if I had my way I'd be splitting my time by studying Doctor Who from 2009 onwards and everything and anything related to Sherlock Holmes)
The one thing that you need to understand about me is that I am a Sherlock Holmes fanatic, I have been ever since the age of 12 and can vividly remember the first Doyle story I read and the circumstances that led the full blown fan that is currently sitting typing this post while wearing a deerstalker (I know, I know that the deerstalker isn't 'canon' but its the one thing most people associate with Holmes, that and a curved pipe...not 'canon' either) and T-shirt that reads "I am Sherlocked"...along with other items of clothing obviously ( I don't want to give anyone nightmares !)
I'll probably post a blog entry on how exactly the obsession began at some point just in case anyone is still reading this blog.
This was supposed to be a short post, as I am currently reading a long article by Jaques Derrida on the process of archiving...its about 60 odd pages long, I'm doing really well...I'm on page 4 and I started reading this 4 hours ago...another thing worth knowing about me is that I'm very easily distracted, you look lovely by the way.
That will have to do for now, must get back to the work that is due in tomorrow (never going to happen)
